Foundation for the Development of Environmental and Energy
Markets
The Foundation for
the Development of Environmental and Energy Markets is a newly
formed non-commercial organization, dedicated to the promotion of market-based
environmental and energy programs in Ukraine .
We will focus on promoting, in
Ukraine, emissions credit trading, emissions quota trading, water trading, and
renewable credit trading. We are business focused, action oriented, and
committed to good environmental outcomes through market-based trading programs.
We welcome all stakeholders to work with us to achieve these objectives.
Our work agenda includes: research
papers; conferences and specialty seminars, technical assistance for
governments, regulators, and industry; and a wide range of advisory services to
all interest groups. We build on many years of advocacy in Ukraine on these
issues and we are starting with an aggressive advocacy effort in Ukraine in
2005 to promote market-oriented environmental policies, now!
Our first research and advocacy papers are:
-
An Emissions Trading Handbook,
-
A Businessman's Response to Managing Greenhouse Gas Emissions: A View from
Russia and Ukraine,
-
Risks Facing Environmental Credit Trading Projects in Transitional Economies
-
Legal Issues Surrounding Environmental Trading, and
-
Impediments and Facilitators to Promote Offsets and Bubbles in Ukraine.
